Jeremy's Portfolio

So, you want to see my projects...

This exercise is based on digital studies of capturing movement. We represented human movement with lines, forms and spaces based on Futurism theory. In motion capture (digital) sessions, movements of one or more actors are sampled many times per second, recording only the motion and not the visual appearance. The animation data is mapped to a 3D model so that the model performs the same actions as the actor. Essentially, we videotaped ourselves doing a certain motion (mine was a karate kick) and then took certain aspects of this motion and studied it. I studied pain (shown by the outer shell of basswood) and pain (expressed through the interior, rocket-shaped basswood).
