So, this is my Medical Lease Office Project...

We were comissioned to design an office building that would be used typically for medical offices (eye doctor, heart specialist, etc). This was my final project for third year. The idea was to have a small building footprint with a tall building to maximize parking capacity. I ended up with an 11 story building (99,300 sq ft total) and parking 331 cars.

The south wall of the building serves not only as an eye catcher (it would be facing Perkins Rd. in Baton Rouge), but also as a solar chimney. That elminates the need to cool the entire lobby (which is open air). The chimney heats the air and creates a draft along that area. The enclosure system is comprised of precast concrete panels and floor-to-floor storefront glass. The concrete panels are mounted directly onto the steel frame
