DIY: Burn an iso to disk on a Mac
I have been having my MacBook Pro for about a year now and I have burned several CDs and DVDs using the superdrive. However, every time, I have to look up how to do it. This may seem like a simple task for advanced Mac users, but oh well. Anyway, here’s how:
- Insert a blank disk. This can be a DVD or CD depending on the size of your iso.
- Find a .iso file (I can only assume that you acquired this legally).

This is what a .iso file looks like
- Open “Disk Utility.” (cmd+space, type “disk utility” and it should come up)

Easy as pie
- Click File, and then “Open Disk Image.”Find your .iso file and click “open.”

File >> Open Disk Image
- It will appear in the left-hand column. Click on the first one, and then click the “burn” button.

select the .iso and click burn
And that should be it!
moving on
I’m back in Baton Rouge now. I’ve been moving around from place to place for 4 years now. It all started when I began attending The Louisiana School for Math, Science, and the Arts…I moved there in the Fall of 2005, anxious to see what this new world would give me. Besides the wonderful education, it taught me a lot. I guess the biggest thing was getting used to living away from my family and friends. Sure, I kept up with a few friends, but I lost contact with a majority (I’d say 95%) of my friends. I think of this as a sad but necessary event.
DIY: Banana Sandwich
Recently I tweeted/FB’d about a delicious sandwich I made. I got several responses, so I decided to make a post about it. You are about to learn how to create the delicious-est sandwich in the world.
First, gather your ingredients: bread, peanut butter, mayo, bananas, and cinnamon.
Problems with Evelyn (AKA brnetinho)
As most of you know, I sold my camera on eBay. The auction ended on Monday, July 20th. The winner, brnetinho, did not ‘pay’ me until Wednesday and urged me to ship it ASAP because she was going on a trip to Brazil. Any by pay, I mean she sent the payment to PayPal, who put it on “hold” until the buyer either marks the item as received or leaves me positive feedback. So, without receiving a penny from anyone, I sent the camera, along with all of the accessories, to her address (in Arizona). I expected her to receive the package and leave me feedback, and then I can get my money. But noooooooooooo that wasn’t even close to the end of it.
The next thing I know, I got this message from Evelyn:
Hi there you will have to refund my money!!
this camera have a problem and you did not have note it on the item description, After you take a picture it will apear a black line flashing on the picture.
please contact me to resolve this problem, or I will open a claim on paypal to get my money back and leave a negative feedback.
Olympus Evolt E-300 SOLD
So here we go…I’m selling my camera. I have been thinking about it for a while now, and I want to get a new (better) camera, and in order to do that, I have to sell this one. It’s an Olympus Evolt E-300 (but you need that from the title) with a Olympus Zuiko Digital ED 40-150mm f4.0-5.6 lens. I bought the lens for around 400 from Amazon about 6-8 months ago, the lens from ebay for around 200, and some accessories to go with it (wide-angle lens, bag, filters, etc). I am selling the whole sha-bang for $400 to anyone, anywhere.
This is everything for sale.

Everything for $400
Here is a youtube video explaining exactly what I am selling.
Here are a few pictures I’ve taken with this camera

Joe Jonas dances to Beyonce’s “Single Ladies”
One, I cannot believe I’m blogging about The Jonas Brothers. Two, this video is rediculous. To promote their upcoming album “Lines, Vines, and Trying Times,” Joe Jonas shows the world his dance moves in this YouTube video:
Photoblog: Family Evening at Lake Palourde
So, my mom, who loves having her family together, decided to have a family get-together. We went down to the lake and started to have a grand ol time.
It was really windy, being right on the edge of the lake and all, and luckily, I brought a kite! Carrie bought me two kites (with an extra 500 feet of line) for Valentine’s Day, so I brought them along. The first thing I did when we got there was let one of the kites loose. It went up immediately (I didn’t even have to run). I let it go to the end of the string and then I tied it to a garbage can so I wouldn’t have to hold it. I also brought along my camera and but didn’t get any kite pictures. Here are a few pictures of the whole event.

This is the "beach" near where we were chowing down.

After a while, my older brother, Wayne, showed up.

Big brother Wayne decided to show up!
